Following its dissolution in the 16th century, Lilleshall Abbey has become a ruin - its stones were used for the building of many houses in the area. Today it sits abandoned, except for one ghostly monk who can sometimes be seen praying where the altar once stood. The pond in the foreground is a reminder of the importance of fish production locally.
