Caption for Linlithgow, Palace From The Boat Station 1897: King David I built the first manor house at Linlithgow, and the church of St Michael next to it. In 1301, Edward Longshanks set about rebuilding and heavily fortifying the palace, and it was held by the English until the autumn of 1313.

Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland is the place where my Dad was born in 1901. Born 1901 Died 1980.

I spent a lot of my childhood at my G.Grandmother's auld hoose in the High Street, Linlithgow across the road from Alva House.
