I left London Conley June 1962. My name was Ann Hobbs and I lived in Lowbell Lane if anyone remembers me I would love to hear from you I have very found memories of going to the Jr school and Senior school in Alexander Road Mr Davis was headmaster and Miss Hill was dusty head I went to the Girl Guide company held in the Jr school Miss Lorraine was the leader I also went to the Water Splash to go ...see more
My Grandmother lived in London Colney for many years I used to go and see her often when I was a child that would be in the early forties, she lived in a cottage opposite the Water Splash there were two cottages there named Davis Cottages pulled down many years ago,they were a few yards from the pub The Bull, in the war I was living with here for a while to escape the bombing,, lovely peaceful place , still visit the places there brings back so many memories Joan Matthews
My family lived in Stanmore, Middlesex and on a hot summer evening (yes there were some!) my dad would pile mum and I into his little 1932 Austin 7 and off we would go to the 'swimming bath' at London Colney.
