Part of the Trafalgar Square scheme included Pall Mall East, which was laid out to link it to Nash's Regent Street at Waterloo Place. This view looks past Waterloo Place towards the dome of the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square. The building on the right was the United Services Club by John Nash in the 1820s - it recently became the Institute of Directors Club. On the left, beyond the corner building of Waterloo Place (now Brasserie Roux and an hotel), rises New Zealand House, built in 1957-63, a 225ft tower block.
