More about this scene
The world-famous Feathers Hotel was built as a private house in the early 1600s by a lawyer, and no expense was spared. In a period when just about every fine building in the county was owned by a wool or cloth merchant, this house reminds us of the importance of the legal profession to the wealth of Ludlow.
