My family has been going there since before I was born in the early 1960s. Initially we rented chalets and caravans but my Dad bought a caravan in 1983 when the last chalets were demolished. We still have a caravan (3rd generation now) on the same plot. Extended family still go there (another bought a caravan this summer) and all love it. We had a holiday here in 1965, the trip from Liverpool with a bulging minibus was an adventure in itself. We stayed in the chalets and had a great time at the site, playing football, cricket and rounders with our aunts, uncles and cousins. Days out to Cromer, Great Yarmouth and the races. I have photos of our time there, am willing to share with anyone, just contact me.
Wow, this brings back memories of pics my parents had - my folks had a caravan (static) in 1952 and my mum's parents did before that. My sister and my brother (born 1952-1955) spent childhoods there and so did I (born 1968), we still go for at least 4-6 weeks a year to Kiln Cliffs.
