More about this scene
Built in St Mary`s churchyard in the late 17th century with an endowment from Thomas Deane de Parke, this building educated the village boys until early last century. The schoolroom was below and the master lived above. On the far right is part of the extension to the school built in 1817 by the rector, the Rev Edward Stanley. When the boys moved out, the whole building became the parish hall.
