A hundred years ago, when this picture was taken, Odiham looked very different. Go there today and you will find a delightful little town with handsome buildings, lines of busy shops and pubs and many cars parked at the roadside - all of it creating a colourful, bustling community. Just to the north of Odiham runs the Basingstoke Canal, completed in 1794.

I owned 'Hillside Cottage' an an area known as Hillside just outside the town.
My parents lived in 'The Coachman's Cottage', which can be seen on the brow of the hill in King's Street, 1950-60. 'Lovelace' is almost opposite.
My Great, Great grandparents, John and Jane Crocker lived here in 1915 before they both died.
My grandfather, and his family came from Odiham. They lived at Bury Cottage until at least 1908. I am connected to the Peskett, Clark, Champion, Pink, Lee and Windiate families of Odiham.
