Plymouth, The Guildhall 1889

More about this scene
Taken from the vicinity of the Boer War memorial, this picture shows how much more ornate the Guildhall was before its destruction and subsequent rebuilding. The spire on the ridge of the main roof no longer exists, and the tower now has a plain copper roof.
