Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Please Note: Our offices and factory are now closed until Monday 5th January when we will be pleased to deal with any queries that have arisen during the holiday period.

A Memory of Southampton.

I recall the zoo at the common. It was run if I recall by Mary Chipperfield. We use to climb up the oak trees and peer in for free.

I remember the zoo in the early 70’s. It smelt like a zoo! I used to love going as if the smells were just as interesting as the animals.

We lived in Winn Road from 1951 to 1966 (aged 3-18) next to the Albany Hotel. I used to lie in bed and hear the lions roaring in their cages at the zoo. I was terrified they would escape one day!
