St Anne's, Open Air Sun Lounge c.1950

More about this scene
The open air baths were well populated in summer. This area was where 'sun baths' were offered 'for bathers in costume only'; there is not a bikini in sight. A strict notice says that 'bathers must remove oil from their bodies before entering the pool. It is in your own interest to keep the pool clean'.
