More about this scene
This photograph looks from the railway bridge towards the King's Head in Bulmer Road. On the left, the second house with the lower roof has been demolished. On the right the three stylish ladies are approaching the Railway Tavern, now a private house, with its prominent sign over the street. The girl is outside a group of shops with hangings to keep out the heat of the sun. The central building later became Ballingdon Dairy.
