More about this scene

As a resort Alnmouth was noted for its excellent golf links, said to be one of the oldest in England. In the early 1920s the green fee on the 18-hole course was 2s 6d; Alnmouth was one of only a handful of Northumberland courses to welcome members of the Ladies Golf Union.
