Ashprington, The Dart At Sharpham 1889

More about this scene
The boathouse on the opposite bank belongs to Sharpham House, the Georgian pile visible above the trees, which was designed by Sir Robert Taylor. Given the state of the roads in 1889, it is interesting to ponder whether the photographer was using the little boat in the foreground as his means of transport.
