Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Please Note: Our offices and factory are now closed until Monday 5th January when we will be pleased to deal with any queries that have arisen during the holiday period.

After Thomas Metcalfe who owned Nappa Hall had died it was inherited by the Weddells. The Weddells let Nappa Hall to John Winn christened 1738 Thornton Steward and his wife Elizabeth I'anson (9th generation decendant of Captain John I'anson who fought at Bosworth with Henry Tudor and settled in Hauxwell). Winnville opposite Askrigg Post Office was the residence of George Winn and his wife Elizabeth. George was born in 1808 in Nappa Hall Askrigg along with his brothers Richard Metcalfe Winn and John Winn who became the vicar of St Andrews Church in Aysgarth.
