Boreham School

A Memory of Boreham.

Our family the Portways lived in Boreham from 1926 when our dad Alf moved with his family from Howe street Great Waltham. Our parents met in the RAF and married in 1945.
Our mum Pat lived on Boreham airfield then my sister was born in St Johns in 1947. She moved to Gibcracks farm Bicknacre where I (Jacqui) was born. Then our mum and dad got a council
house in the chase Boreham where our sister Wendy was born in 1950 and our brother being
born in 1952.
We all went to Boreham primary school. We can't get any information about the school other than the new school which was built in the 1960s.
Any information would be n gratefully received.

Regards Jacqui Powell nee Portway.

Hi Jackie. I lived on the airfield and went to Boreham school. I remember the church at the front and going to the village hall for lunch. I belong to Chelmsford remembered and there are a few photos on there of mr Coopers class.
