More about this scene
What wonderful examples of 1950s fashion are being sported by the middle-aged couple, right. Ten years later, the designer Laura Ashley opened a mill in the village to mark the start of what has become a fashion empire still in business throughout Britain today. During the Second World War the White Hart pub was popular with RAF fighter pilots stationed at nearby Biggin Hill.
