Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Blind Johnnies

Little shop known to us as Blind Johnnies, used to buy my sweets there, entered by going down two steps from street level.

Treacle Puggies
Page the Bakers used a hand cart to sell his products round Burntisland - it was a two wheeled cart with a domed roof and fitted with breadboards inside. I think the employee that pushed it was related to the Foreman family from the Rossend area. Made a pastry type called treacle puggies, wonderful!

The Outdoor Pool
Spending all day at the pool/beach when I was a kid. Would go in the sea, run along to the pool, jump in the shallow end ( cos you were getting a bit cold by this time ) and bliss, it was like being in a sauna. mmmmm Hurrying home to get a quick bite to eat then back down to pool, pulling soaking wet costume back on again. Yeuch!!! Also remember having midnight bathing/galas, team games, i.e. diving for tins of fruit. Those were the days................ great times.

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
