Donkey Lane and Dormouse Cottage (right) can be seen here in the northern end of the High Street (centre) which bends to the west beside Pound House (centre) to become Barr Lane as it carries the main road towards Bridport. The Anchor Inn is around the corner and a range of 17th-century cottages are opposite. Bramble Cottage, below the telegraph pole (left), has a `For Sale` sign in the window. Next-door is Lilac Cottage.

I have so many memories of Burton Bradstock. My brother and I sometimes stayed with an aunt and uncle there for the annual escape from the Midlands, where we lived. Often, these visits engendered large family outings to the beach. Oh, the misery of those early bathing costumes!
