More about this scene

Just off the main road through unspoilt Bilsdale is the northern part of the village of Chop Gate. Bilsdale Hall is hidden behind the trees (centre). Chisel Hill Mill (left) reminds us of local industry powered by the River Eller. Out of shot, top left, is the beguiling little church of St Hilda. Across the valley is the Bilsdale transmitter mast for Tyne Tees Television.
