A Memory of Coalville.

Agree there were some great bands playing around the Coalville area in the late 60's. I particularly remember Geno Washington (several times) at the George and the bands at the Railway, which I think is now a childrens nursery - how apt!!!

Hi, Paul, everyone seems to remember Geno......I'm pretty sure I saw them at Leicester Palais, as well. I remember I saw the American girl band Fanny there and was amazed at seeing girls playing guitars for the first time - brillant! I think I had a hankering to be in a band myself tbh.
Re your comment about the Post Office - it made me remember it as a meeting place as I'd forgotten. I got stood up a few times, as well!
