A Memory of Crayford.

I lived right next to Dartford heath but used to cycle to Craçwford sometime s we had a few day trips on Timpsons coaches ,I worked at j c bceadles until the factory closed. Very sad times.

I was born in 1957 and lived in North Road, Dartford which was far closer to Crayford town centre than to Dartford. As a little boy, I would walk into Crayford with my mum to do the shopping. There were two treats involved in this for me: One was to be given a quarter-pound bag of sweets from the sweet shop upon the corner of the dog track entrance and the other was to stop outside of the Timpson's coach booking office (to the left of the coach garage) and lovingly and longingly admire the scale model of one of their coaches which was displayed in the window for some years. What wouldn't I have sacrificed to have owned this model?!! Do you remember this model of a Timpson's coach, please? I wonder what happened to it?
