More about this scene

The very narrow Red Lion Street in Cropredy (pronounced Cropreedy) is named after the Red Lion Inn, seen half way along the row of houses on the right. The lectern in the 11th-century church of St Mary the Virgin was damaged during the Civil War. It was incorrectly repaired, and to this day it has two brass feet and one bronze.
