Visiting Friendly Germans
A Memory of Cwmfelinfach.
Who still alive remembers the several small bombs dropped on the right side of the mountain looking down the valley. The 2 larger ones dropped on the left side and the three bombs dropped in the village itself that killed a family of 3 and cut the main sewer line going down the valley.
The unexploded bomb dropped in Ynysddu which was made safe by the army and when
excavated put on trolley by the ATC and pushed around Cwmfelinfach, Wattsville and Ynysddu for people to stick savings stamps on. The bomb was then sent back to Germany with best wishes.
