More about this scene
This view, showing the centre of Ewell village, was taken looking north towards the Horse Pond and Spring Corner, and includes several splendid examples of the motor vehicles of the period. A delivery van can be seen at the entrance to Church Street, with the King William the IV pub and its hanging lantern nearer to the camera. On the opposite side of the street a man carrying a suitcase passes in front of the doors of the fire station, next to the tiled butcher and fishmonger's shop run by Mr F Savage.
