More about this scene

This Grade I building, now called Valley Farm, is the Warden's House of the Field Studies Council, who run environmental and arts courses at Flatford Mill, Willy Lott's House and Valley Farm. It is an open hall house of c1480, with a gabled wing containing re-used 14th-century timbers. The cross passage still leads to the service rooms on the right and the hall to the left, lit by the original six-light window.

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

I owned a large picture of 'The Haywain' which for many years hung on my living room wall. During the 1980s I was lucky enough to visit the cottage and it was like walking into the painting; it was magical!
