My grand parents and my father came from the village as well as aunties and uncles, Hugh and Jessie Bell north street. Hello, It's great to hear some of the memories from Glenluce. I myself have not yet managed to visit but my family originates from Glenluce and the surrounding areas as far back as I can tell (currently 1750s). I am looking for information about my great, great, great grandfather Stevenson Muirhead. I know he was born in Ireland in 1822 but died in Glenluce 1874. I know my great, great grandfather, also Stevenson Muirhead, was born in Balcarry, Glenluce in 1856. Any information would be great even if it's just what the town was like back then.
