Share your own memories of Glenluce and read what others have said

For many years now, we've been inviting visitors to our web site to add their own memories to share their experiences of life as it was when the photographs in our archive were taken. From brief one-liners explaining a little bit more about the image depicted, to great, in-depth accounts of a childhood when things were rather different than today (and everything inbetween!). We've had many contributors recognising themselves or loved ones in our photographs.

Why not add your memory today and become part of our Memories Community to help others in the future delve back into their past.

Hello, It's great to hear some of the memories from Glenluce. I myself have not yet managed to visit but my family originates from Glenluce and the surrounding areas as far back as I can tell (currently 1750s). I would be very interested to hear from anyone who has any connection to Saunders or Sanders or Sanderson from Glenluce or Wigtownshire in general. Many thanks, Neil
I am looking for information about my great, great, great grandfather Stevenson Muirhead. I know he was born in Ireland in 1822 but died in Glenluce 1874. I know my great, great grandfather, also Stevenson Muirhead, was born in Balcarry, Glenluce in 1856. Any information would be great even if it's just what the town was like back then.
