Hi Susan, I am responding for your enquiry for your uncle Ken. I know the whole family, they were very good friends of my parents Tom and Winnie, and my aunt Rose. My cousins were Malcome and Stan, Mavis, Linda, Ann and Johnny and Tommy. It would be good to hear from you. My brothers were Jack and Brian and we lived in the flats. You did a job for my dad when you were a kid. We lived on Mount Road then and you had to crawl under the floor boards to take some cable for a wiring job my dad did. Do you remember. Hi Susan, bit late to the party, but I knew your uncle Kenny when I was a girl. We lived about 4 doors down from the Copes. Ken was a lovely bloke. He helped me out one time when I was babysitting; I couldn’t turn the gas cooker off, the knob had come off in my hand and gas was gushing out. I ran out in the road shouting, and Kenny ran in and sorted it out. I lived at 21 Sutton Road, the Ward family. Cheers, Marilyn

Hi Marilyn very lovely to hear from you Sorry to say ken died on 16 nov 2014 he had cancer. He had is 70 th birthday party which was a great night with the family. He never stopped laughing and joking till the end. I will share your story with the family . Mavis his sister died of cancer few years before him . I am the daughter of Albert cope who married beryl WOODHOUSE . Very happily married. Till sadly my dad died. And my mum died cancer. Sorry for sad news But happy note. Mum dad they have 4 kids Colin, me susan, Linda ,Paula. Don’t know if you are on Facebook. ?? Susan Watkins. Hi sorry if I did not reply to you or replying late to you ( forgot about this site )about ken just seen it from another reply I have just had.
My uncle ken Sadly died of cancer on 14 November2014. Shortly after his 70 th birthday had with family friends. Laughing and joking till the end. Mavis his sister died cancer some years before him. My dad Albert cope married to beryl WOODHOUSE Both have passed . On a good side mum and dad have 4 kids. Colin. Me Susan. Linda . Paula .
