I Remember The Coffee Bar.
A Memory of Greenford.
It was on the opposite to the War Memorial at the top of Oldfield Lane,.always packed and noisy, great atmosphere. I definitely remember the Bartletts and the Digbys I went to school with some of them Carol Bartlett was in my class I think and Lorraine Digby too. Tesco is where the Granada Cinema used to be and I remember seeing the Rolling Stones there with my older sisters Pat & Jean in the days when Keith Moon was the drummer. I went to Stanhope Infants and Junior Schools and Coston Secondary School and I used to live in Avon Road. I was also in the 1st Greenford Girls Brigade.
My name back then was Sue Richards and I was born in Perivale Hospital and lived in Greenford from 1953 to 1974.
