More about this scene
With its spectacular beech hangers, green hills and downland, it is not surprising to learn that this corner of east Hampshire is known as 'Little Switzerland.' The Edwardian poet Edward Thomas (1878-1917) loved it dearly, and was moved to write about the area in his work. Thomas moved here in 1906.
