I belong to a History Group based in Kings Worthy.
I live just across the road from where St Margaret and St Nicholas Children's Homes were located. I have started researching the background of the homes and trying to establish who and why they were built in here. In addition I hope to gather some details of the lives of children who stayed here over the years..

I have been in touch with ex-residents and I have two contacts that have documented their recollections of their childhoods in Kings Worthy.
Some ex-residents have decided not to follow up on leads and make contact with named / known ex-residents.
However if you go to this site :-
http://www.childrenscottagehomes.org.uk/guest_book.html
and look at blog 403 + 406 you will find contact details for Peter Brown who was at the homes up to early 1960's.

I hope this message gets through.
You can contact me directly via my email if you want to :- seafire33@btinternet.com
