Born 1959 & lived down the bottom of Coombe Road. Looking at the pics of the village I can remember the daily uphill trudge with mum to the shops. My mum and her two sisters lived in Mill Hill Road. They moved there in 1927. The family name was Miller. In 1930 my mum Alice Miller, was Irby’s first rose queen. There are photos of the event and if I can find them I will post them on here.
