Ludham, 'quanting' By The Windmill c.1931

More about this scene
There are windmills all over the Norfolk Broads. To give them their correct name, they are wind pumps, used to keep the water flowing from low-lying areas. A holiday cruiser is tied up as the yacht alongside poles out into the river before lifting his sail. This is known locally as 'quanting'.
