Naval School Based In Lydney During The Second World War

A Memory of Lydney.

I was interested to read that Ken Cook remembered his late father Cyril was a nurse at the above school (TS Exmouth) This school was run by the London County Council, forerunner of the Greater London Council. During hostilities, the school was evacuated to Lydney in 1943, the same year that my father Harry Hunter accepted a post with them. He, my mother and my older brother obtained digs with the Dewdney family at Raglan House, a large property along the main street.

My brother and I would be very happy to share more information about the school, should Ken read my memories.
