Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Meath School 1968 Ish ?

A Memory of Ottershaw.

I was sent here,after frequent bouts of Asthma. My memories are mostly favourable. We used to make huts in the woods and I predictably, made the village pub. I achieved a swimming medal , got thrown out of the Cubs,for playing football with my woggle and remember being held up by my "Sideburns" for doing so. I also had to go to the parent school, Pilgrims at half term, as I couldn't go home and also being the only child there . The pop group "Marmalade" came to visit . It was a turbulent time in my life but I do look back on my time at the school with fondness .

I was here I thi k about 1970 with my brother Sean. I loved the place. Football. Woods. Swimming woodwork. Etc. Mr Clive I think was also a teacher who took a great interest in the plays we put on. I was a witch in snow White and had to do the singing for snow White lol. I sung solo in Mr Thomas choir practise. The was a gardener at the time called George who looked like catweazle. I presume 50 yrs later that most will have passed. I do recall the nurse who I think was called Mis Mann from Edinburgh. Some names I remember were Stephen Hadley. from Small Heath David Murray from Swansea. Adam Fronteras fro herne Bay I think. Happy days

Wow Michael..this has brought back fond memories. I remember nurse Mann and Smith. Mr Thomas was the sideburn lifter. Mr Holmes was great and drove a Ford Capri. George was brilliant and gave me a lift home to Bedford when my parents couldn't make the journey. Sean held the first inhaler for us Catholics who had to trudge into the village to church. The woods, the treehouse, swimming, the play ...I was an ugly sister and still affected by that. Some of the names I remember but not sure if they are correct..Keith Kendal, Martin Bentham, Gosling, Jennings. Nice to hear from you.
