Penarth, The Cliffs 1893

More about this scene
As we move further eastwards, the vista concludes with this dramatic portrayal of Penarth Head and its cliffs. From this low vantage point buildings on top of the headland go unseen, but the roof of Kymin House (left) peeps through the foliage. At the centre of the photograph a wooden slipway stands idle – this section of the beach is apparently deserted.
