Family Holidays

A Memory of Preston Candover.

My Grandma, Ethel Hardy, lived in Gardeners Cottage and when we were young we always came for our holidays. My Mum was called Kitty and she married my Dad and went to live in Hull, but we always came every year to see Grandma and Aunty Bett and all my Uncles. It was a lovely cottage, and we used to go blackberry picking and on walks in the summer, and in the Winter, at Christmas we went to Midnight Mass and this always gives me a magical feeling because i always remember it snowing every christmas eve, . I have wonderful m emories of this village, and of Grandma and the rest of the family , My name in those days was Denise Finney, and I have some good memories of my cousins Kevin and Annette
