Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

As the road approaches the level crossing, we can see a signal box and a foot bridge - in recent years the signal box has been demolished. The row of cottages on the left is known as Station Terrace, with the post office close to the camera with a post box and stamp machine set into the wall. Advertisements for Player's and Craven A cigarettes are prominently displayed.

Purfleet Primary School
I started at Purfleet Infants & Primary School aged 4, I put my head on the desk and cried for ages, but there was a lovely elderly lady teacher (I can't remember her name?), she blew my nose and washed my face, I'd arrived with my older sister Kitty, that was ok, but she went off to her classroom across the playground... Purfleet A Very Nice Community
We moved from the garrison to the village just after the floods, I was 12. We moved into Malakwa, next door to the post office run by Mr and Mrs Smith and their daughter Silvia (I had a crush on her but that is another story). The paper shop by the railway station was run by Mr Eaton and family. People I remember are Mr and Mrs Busby and family, the Stocks who ran the grocery store, who lost their son ...see more

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
