More about this scene

We are looking south along the High Street past the Olde Place Hotel, whose brick and flint façade disguises a 16th-century half-timbered building. Rottingdean has a long history; it is named after the valley - 'dene' - which runs down to the sea. The view has not changed substantially in the past 30 years.
