More about this scene

Golden Cap rises at the centre, with tree-coverd Langdon Hill (top right) to landward. The view looks westwards from the foothills of Ridge Cliff to Seatown hamlet (centre left) and Mill House and Mill Lane (lower right), which was concrete-covered in the Second World War to enable the large-scale removal of beach pebbles for the building of aerodromes. Almost all these fields, except those with the car-park and caravans, are now owned by the National Trust.
