Selby Girls High School

A Memory of Selby.

Does anyone have any memories of the former girls high school in Leeds Road, particular to the year when it became a mixed school 1967/8? I was one of the boys who left Drax Grammar School and became the first males to attend the school. Are there any original former pupils of that era out there?

i remember leaving drax and joining Selby high school in the third form. i have searched in vain to obtain a school magazine of that time 1967 /68 i had a short story published in it that i was very proud of

I was at drax '58 - '64, We had a group and played at the High school summer dance in '63 and '64. Two years ago three of us revisited the school. You can read the article on the High School site under 'Phantoms Fly In'
