A Memory of Slough.

Bought this image by Slough Library apparently its a Frith but why is the building next to Palmers printers got blank windows, there's no scaffolding so its not being built nor are there signs of a fire?

Hi Dave. In the early 1970s I lived in the flat, with the recessed balcony, on the left. (198) The windows of that building had the remains of a mirror, silver finish on them. I think , if you look at the pictures, or indeed the buildings now, you will see the window frames go from ceilings to floor. I think they put a two way mirror finish on the glass, for privacy and modesty. Much like the office blocks of the 1990s/00 Best regards Alan
