Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Please Note: Our offices and factory are now closed until Monday 5th January when we will be pleased to deal with any queries that have arisen during the holiday period.

Brightlingsea Ferry

A Memory of St Osyth.

Back in the 1950s, as an extended family, we always went to Jaywick Sands for our summer holiday. A regular walk undertaken was along the beach to Point Clear then across the ferry to Brightlingsea. It seemed like a real adventure at the time!

I visited Jaywick many times during the 40's and 50'S but always visited Brightlingsea by road to collect out winkes and used the boatman to cross to farthest beach. I didn't know that there was a ferry from point clear I would have much preferred this route. I wonder if it still operates?
