Sudbury, King Street c.1950
Photo ref:

More about this scene
Unlike most photographs of King Street, this view is virtually unchanged. On the right, the Royal Oak, the shop with the arched door and window, and the building nearest the camera, here Dolly's sweet shop, all remain. Just off to the left is Borehamgate Surgery, now the Borehamgate Precinct. The two brick buildings on the left are now Huffer's and Mill House Fabrics. The scene is not so tranquil today, thanks to the traffic.
