Sudbury, Market 1904

More about this scene
Sudbury had a corn and cattle market on Thursdays with a general market on Saturdays. There was also an annual pony sale, attended by travellers, on Market Hill. Despite the stalls, agricultural implements, horses and ponies, the attraction is the Punch and Judy show outside St Peter's, which is enthralling young, old and even the carriage trade.
