This view, looking north, shows the Goddard Arms to the right. The old Automobile Association cast-iron signpost standing at this former major road junction has long since gone. On the left we can see Barclay's Bank, on the corner of Cricklade Street. This building opened as the Wiltshire & Dorset Bank in 1885 and is now used as offices and as a hairdresser's salon.
