The Good Times & Bad

A Memory of Taxal.

The comments by one boy that Mr Cory interfered with him, load of tosh, don't belive him. When I was there I had good times and bad, the teachers were ok, some of them would give you a dig with their fist into you just for fun, you would get a clout of some of them. There were three bullies but we had fun, good fun, two weeks in Littlehampton, great fishing. It has taken some time for me to track down anything about Taxel Lodge, glad to have found it at last. Mr Cory would drop me off up on the moors, never ever did he interfere with me. My hobby was bird watching, it got me out of the school for hours, also it meant I was on my own, great times. A great pity the building has ended up as flats.
I never knew what was Mr Cory's first name, does anybody out there know it?

Well well !?. I was there in july 1969 through to Easter 1974,teachers(7)were,Harding,Lomax,Evans, Lomas,Holden,Linsley, Curry. Oops! Mr Philpot 8. The place back then was in pristine condition and the surrounding gardens and grounds were well kept and swept, and if you ask by who my friends? It was us the pupils. So much memory of those years and what has become of the people and staff we once new!? Ah but alas the times and seasons come and go but memories never fade.
