Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

Across the broad expanse of the High Street is the portico of the Town Hall, which was rebuilt in 1790. Adjoining it is the 15th-century Woolpack Inn, where the archbishops are said to have lodged on their brief visits to the town.

'finchden Manor'
St. Benedicts Priory later became a special boys' school renamed 'Finchden Manor' run by George Lyward renowned educationalist in therapeutic education in the 1940s/50s/60s.

Mill Pond Tenterden
My brothers and I whom grew up in St Michaels used to go fishing in the Mill pond. I was only very small (born in 1971) but I remember we used to walk to the Mill pond with a picnic and we would sit on a little bit of brick wall next to the damn swinging our legs over the edge of the pond. Then the damn broke and the Mill pond drained, it was too much money for Billie Nicholls the owner to repair the damn, so the Mill pond remained a marshy place full of mystery. The Place To Go
This place was at a house, the favourite place for us kids to go. There was an old boathouse that sheltered us when it rained.

Golden Square
I used to live in Golden Square, in the 60's, next door to Mrs Jewel, the mens barbers, needless to say we always had short hair until my teenage years when I grew it very long.

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
