More about this scene

The two churches of St Martin and St Mary stand adjacent to each other in the same churchyard. St Mary's tower was a ruin at this time; it was not until 1960 that it was restored in memory of Mrs Josselyn. On the left is the site of the Welcome Hall of 1902 and of the Three Mariners, kept by Mrs Elizabeth Elliott.
